EuropeMarketMap is a professional business platform that helps companies discover commercial opportunities, access public procurement information, present their activities and connect with other businesses.

This Privacy Notice explains how personal information is collected, used, stored and protected when you visit or use the platform.

2. Who is responsible for your information?

EuropeMarketMap is operated by its service operator, who is responsible for the processing of personal information through the platform.

  • Voluntary contributions: information recorded in connection with voluntary support, such as a date, optional amount and display name. A donor's name is made public only with consent.
  • Technical information: session information, security logs, technical identifiers and privacy preference records.

We process information for purposes related to operating and improving EuropeMarketMap, including:

  • Creating and managing user accounts.
  • Providing platform features and professional services.
  • Displaying company profiles and publications according to their visibility settings.

  • Private messages are intended for their authorised participants.
  • Company workspace information is available to authorised members of that company.

7. Recommendations and business matching

Partner suggestions and matching scores are generated from information declared by companies and relevant information available on the platform.

They are informational suggestions only. They do not constitute an automatic decision about a person, establish eligibility or qualification, guarantee a commercial relationship or guarantee the award of a procurement contract.

8. Email communications

We may send messages necessary to operate your account, protect its security and administer the service.

Newsletters are sent only when you subscribe and complete any required confirmation. Each newsletter includes an unsubscribe option.

You can manage available notification preferences through your account settings.

9. Audience measurement

We use our own technical statistics to understand general website usage and count daily visitors.

The measurement process uses a daily-salted hash derived from technical visit information, including the IP address and browser information. The IP address itself is not retained for this measurement purpose, and the daily salt prevents visitors from being followed through the same measurement identifier from one day to the next.

These statistics are not intended to collect the contents of private messages, documents or personal communications.

10. Advertising

Selected public pages may display Google AdSense advertising, including market and company pages.

Advertising is not displayed in member dashboards, private messages, groups or administration areas.

Google may process technical information and use cookies or similar technologies in connection with advertising, subject to applicable settings and your consent choices.

11. Service providers and recipients

Information may be processed by service providers where necessary to operate EuropeMarketMap, including:

  • Hosting and infrastructure providers.
  • Email delivery services.
  • Technical providers supporting website features and maps.
  • Google in connection with advertising services when enabled.
  • External services you choose to use, such as Ko-fi for voluntary contributions.

Information may also be disclosed where necessary to comply with a legal obligation, respond to a lawful request or protect the rights and security of the platform and its users.

Some service providers may process information using infrastructure located in different countries. Where applicable data protection rules require safeguards for international transfers, appropriate safeguards must be used.

13. Data retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Notice, taking account of the nature of the information, the relevant service feature, security requirements and applicable obligations.

  • Account information is retained while the account is active and as necessary to complete account closure.
  • Content is retained according to the relevant feature and available deletion controls.
  • Security logs are retained for the period necessary to protect the platform and investigate incidents.
  • Consent records are retained as necessary to record and manage privacy choices.
  • Newsletter information is used until you unsubscribe, subject to the limited records needed to maintain your unsubscribe preference.

Some information may need to be retained for longer where required to resolve disputes, enforce rights or comply with legal obligations.

We use technical and organisational measures designed to protect accounts, communications and stored information. These include access controls, session protections and safeguards against unauthorised requests and misuse.

No online service can guarantee absolute security. You should keep your account credentials confidential and report suspicious activity through our contact form.

16. Voluntary contributions

The Support EuropeMarketMap link may open Ko-fi, an independent external service, in a new browser tab.

Payment details are handled directly by that service. EuropeMarketMap does not receive your full payment card details through the contribution link.

Contributions are voluntary and do not provide additional account rights, features or privileges.

17. Changes to this Notice

We may update this Privacy Notice when the platform, its features or applicable requirements change. The latest revision date will be displayed at the top of this page.
